Looking for the 1st EVER Mr. North Idaho! 🌟

We invite you to nominate your champion for the 1st Annual Mr. North Idaho:

A Campy + Courageous Competition of Handsome Humanitarians, happening January 24, 2026 at Red Lion Templin’s on the River in Post Falls.

Each contestant represents a nonprofit of his choice, with 10% of proceeds awarded back into the community/top three finishers’ nonprofits:

  • 🦌 Epic Elk King (1st place) – 5% of net proceeds
     

  • 🐏 Ballsy Bighorn (2nd place) – 3%
     

  • 🐂 Macho Moose (3rd place) – 2%
     

This event is all about humor, heart, and celebrating our community. Contestants won’t be expected to belt out Broadway tunes or perfect a dance routine. Instead, they’ll take the stage in four lighthearted rounds:

 

  • Style & Swagger - The opening walk, because first impressions matter.  Contestants strut the runway in whatever makes them feel most confident—think cowboy hats, thrift-store tuxedos, or a borrowed crown.  It’s all about attitude, not Armani.

 

  • Talent (with a twist): Contestants share their “talent,” which could be a round of dad jokes, juggling potatoes, or reading a heartfelt “poem” that turns out to be the Pledge of Allegiance... The quirkier, the better.
     

  • Athletic/Swimwear: Our lighthearted nod to traditional pageants. Contestants might show off gym shorts with tube socks, Hawaiian shirts, superhero capes, or even a snorkel. Comedy is the only requirement.

 

  • On-Stage Interview: Quick Q&A where contestants charm the audience with personality, wit, and honesty. Questions might range from “What’s your go-to karaoke song?” to “How would you solve the problem of soggy fries?”  This is where personality shines brighter than polish.

The audience and judges will then decide who earns the coveted title of Mr. North Idaho 2026 - along with the Epic Elk King’s Crown, bragging rights for an entire year, and 10% of net proceeds going to the charities chosen by our King, First and Second Runners Up: Ballsy Bighorn and Macho Moose.

It’s fun, it’s fabulous, and it shines a positive spotlight on your mission while rallying community support. We’d love to see your nonprofit join the fun. All your nominee needs is a sense of humor, a generous spirit, and a willingness to step into the spotlight for a great cause.

Mr. North Idaho 2026 Contestant Guide

A Campy + Courageous Competition of Handsome Humanitarians

Welcome, Gentlemen!

Congratulations — you’ve been nominated as a contestant for the inaugural Mr. North Idaho competition. This event is designed to celebrate humor, heart, and community spirit. No opera skills, dance training, or six-pack abs required. Just bring your personality, willingness to laugh, and support for a great cause!

 

The Competition Rounds

✨ Style & Swagger

  • Strut the runway in whatever makes you feel confident (cowboy boots, thrift-store tux, fishing waders, or even a bathrobe).
     

  • Think personality over polish — it’s about attitude, not Armani.
     

🎭 Talent (with a Twist)

  • Share a “talent” — as serious or silly as you like.
     

  • Dad jokes, juggling potatoes, or reading a “poem” that turns out to be the Pledge of Allegiance are perfect.
     

  • Goal: make the audience smile.
     

👟🩳 Athletic/Swimwear

  • A parody of traditional pageants — have fun with it!
     

  • Show off your “look” in gym shorts, Hawaiian shirts, superhero capes, or Crocs with socks.
     

  • Bonus points for creativity and comedy.
     

🎤 On-Stage Interview

  • Short Q&A where your wit and charm shine.

  • Expect playful questions like:
     

    • “What’s your go-to karaoke song?”
       

    • “Which kitchen appliance best represents your personality?”
       

  • Relax, have fun, and let the audience see your humor and heart.
     

👑 Crowning of the Kings

Three winners will be named:

  • 🦌 Epic Elk King – 1st place (5% of net proceeds to your charity)
     

  • 🐏 Ballsy Bighorn – 2nd place (3%)
     

  • 🐂 Macho Moose – 3rd place (2%)
     

Tips for Contestants

✔ Bring your sense of humor.

✔ Don’t take yourself too seriously — the sillier, the better.

✔ Remember: the real win is the spotlight your charity receives.
